Channel Baler for Efficient Waste Recycling

The F series chassis comes in 4 sizes.

2 smaller sizes are typically used in the Printing waste / Document & Product destruction industries.

GB0505F:
Infeed hopper opening = 0.5m by 0.8m.
Bale size = .5m by .5m by Variable length.

GB7575F:
Infeed hopper opening = 0.7m by 1.2m.
Bale size = .75m by .75m by variable length.

2 larger sizes are typically used in the bulk baling of cardboard & paper / Material Recovery Facilities.

GB1108F:
Infeed hopper opening = 1m by 1.8m.
Bale size = 1.1m by .8m by variable length.

GB1111F:
Infeed hopper opening = 1m by 2.4m.
Bale size = 1.1m by .1.1m by variable length.

Hydraulic Systems are modular and come in steps of either 40hp or 60hp configurations.
40HP / 60hp / 80hp / 120hp / 180hp 240hp are the virtues (note hp = More tones / hour the baler can process.)

All configurations (except for the 180hp and 240hp) offer a regenerative circuit, meaning the baler uses material size/makeup/Feed type & required throughout, which need to be considered when offering a suitably specified Baler.

FAQs about cardboard balers

What is a cardboard baler?

A cardboard box baler is a machine that compresses loose cardboard boxes into compact, tied bales.
These bales are easier to store, transport, and recycle. Businesses that generate large amounts of packaging waste use cardboard balers to reduce waste volume and improve recycling efficiency.

What industries use cardboard baler machines?

Many industries rely on cardboard baler machines, including warehouses, logistics companies, manufacturing plants, supermarkets, retailers, and recycling facilities. Any business that receives large volumes of boxed goods can benefit from using an industrial cardboard baler to manage packaging waste.

What is the difference between a cardboard box baler and a compactor?

A cardboard baler compresses cardboard into dense bales that can be tied and transported for recycling.
A compactor typically reduces waste volume inside a container without producing recyclable bales.
Businesses that want to recycle cardboard efficiently usually choose a baler.

How much does a cardboard baler cost in Australia?

The cost of a cardboard baler machine in Australia depends on the machine size, automation level,
throughput capacity, and installation requirements. Industrial channel balers used in large recycling operations
generally cost more than small vertical balers designed for retail or warehouse environments.

What size cardboard baler does my business need?

The correct baler depends on your cardboard volume, available space, and operational workflow.
Small businesses may require compact vertical balers, while distribution centres and recycling facilities
often use large industrial cardboard balers such as channel balers that can process high volumes of material continuously.

Do cardboard balers help reduce waste management costs?

Yes. A cardboard box baler reduces the volume of loose cardboard, meaning fewer waste collections and
lower transport costs. Businesses can also improve recycling efficiency and reduce landfill waste by
processing cardboard into recyclable bales.

Do you provide installation and servicing for cardboard balers?

Yes. Material Recovery Solutions provides installation, servicing, and ongoing maintenance to ensure your cardboard box baler equipment runs efficiently. Learn more about our Service & Maintenance support.
